Now in its seventh year, Giving Tuesday is an global day of giving meant to bring communities together around meaningful causes. After the holiday shopping season kicks off with Black Friday and Cyber Monday, today is a chance to give instead of take, and to support organizations doing important work in all kinds of fields.

Venture Café Foundation
The Venture Cafe Foundation broadens, connects, and supports an inclusive innovation community through a public network of spaces and programs to help anyone with an idea have the opportunity to succeed. The Foundation has locations in Cambridge, Downtown Boston, Roxbury, and the Seaport, where they host programs and provide resources for entrepreneurs from every field. On Giving Tuesday, you can support their S.T.E.A.M education-based programming for Boston youth at the Roxbury Innovation Center by donating here.
BAMS Fest, Inc.
Boston Art & Music Soul (BAMS) Fest is a nonprofit organization that strives to break down racial and social barriers to arts, music, and culture for marginalized communities of color across Greater Boston and to create a diverse and inclusive commonplace for Greater Boston' recording, performing and visual artists of color. They also aim to use the artistic talents of their community to change societal perception and empower and engage audiences of color to convene. Your support today helps the organization activate underutilized spaces, provide professional development workshops for emerging artists, and mobilize people to build community around the arts.
Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway Conservancy
Created after the Big Dig brought many of Boston's highways underground, the Greenway is a a linear series of parks and gardens that connects some of Boston’s oldest, most diverse, and vibrant neighborhoods. The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway Conservancy is dedicated to securing the Greenway’s future as one of America’s foremost urban parks, and as a shared space that plays host to a variety of programs, art installations, and events for the community. The HUBweek team is especially thankful for the vibrant public art exhibitions that line the Greenway every season, and we're excited to support future art and conservation projects.
Globe Santa
Globe Santa was created in 1956 to deliver holiday gifts to local children in need. That year, Globe Santa collected $51,000 in donations to help 6,200 Greater Boston area families. The number of families requesting assistance has continued to grow. More than 1 million families and more than 3 million children have been served by Globe Santa during the past six decades. Help Globe Santa continue this great tradition by supporting their team of 2019 Boston Marathon runners here.
Artists for Humanity
Artists For Humanity’s (AFH) mission is to bridge economic, racial, and social divisions by providing under-resourced urban youth with the keys to self-sufficiency through paid employment in art and design. Their mission is built on twin philosophies: engagement in the creative process is a powerful force for social change, and creative entrepreneurship is a productive and life-changing opportunity for young people and their communities. They employ 250 teens as artists and designers each year during critical out-of-school hours, enhancing their future employability, earning potential, and even the likelihood of their graduating from high school. Hack.Diversity Fund
The Hack.Diversity Fund at the Boston Foundation tackles the underrepresentation of high-skilled minority employees in Boston’s innovation economy. The organization recruits Black and Latino computer science and engineering students into the city’s fastest-growing companies — training, coaching and mentoring both employer and employee throughout the experience. Donate today to their Hack500 campaign, which is aiming to raise $500,000 by 2020.
Design Museum Foundation
The Design Museum is a new kind of museum: Based throughout the city of Boston, it doesn't have a permanent gallery space. Instead, the Museum is nomadic, hosting exhibits and events in all corners of the community and turning the city's spaces into opportunities for learning and discovery. The Museum has hosted exhibits on everything from architecture to video game design, furniture to fashion, products to graphics, and previewed their upcoming show "Bespoke Bodies: The Design and Craft of Prosthetics" at HUBweek 2018. MIT Solve
Solve is an initiative of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) that advances lasting solutions from tech entrepreneurs to address the world's most pressing problems. Each year, Solve issues four Global Challenges to find the most promising Solver teams who will drive transformational change. Solve then builds and convenes a community of leaders and innovators to form partnerships these Solver teams need to scale their impact. BUILD Boston
BUILD’s mission is to use entrepreneurship to ignite the potential of youth from under-resourced communities and propel them to high school, college, and career success. Helping students start their own small businesses, BUILD supports youth in gaining self confidence and understanding the connection between hard work and creating a stronger community. An in-school elective in 9th through 12th grade taught by BUILD mentors and on-site teachers at partner public high schools, the BUILD Program prepares Boston-area students to be productive and successful members of tomorrow's workforce.
