Inspirational Women of HubWeek

March 5, 2020

It's Women's History Month, and we couldn't wait to shine a light on some of the incredible women who have shared their stories and perspectives at HubWeek. From conservationists to tech entrepreneurs to fashion-forward athletes, women are a dominating force in Greater Boston and the HubWeek community. We've rounded up a few of our favorite talks to educate and inspire you during this month celebrating female power.

Watch these women speakers from a selection of sessions at HubWeek 2019:

Kristine Tompkins has dedicated her life to preserving our planet as President of Tompkins Conservation, CEO of Patagonia, and much more. In this intimate conversation, Kristine talks about protecting the places we love, leading a profitable company with a positive impact, and what gives her hope for the future.

What is social sector innovation? How is it unique and how will it succeed? In this interactive workshop, three women leaders from Aetna (a CVS Health company), the Urban College of Boston, and United Way showcase new, innovative collaborations that engage underserved populations throughout our community.

Technology is always innovating, but how do we champion new discoveries and breakthroughs while considering the effects? How can responsibility be a key ingredient in design? What is our framework for how we move forward among the wave of negativity? Moderator Adi Ignatius of HBR delves into these topics with Danielle Allen, James Bryant Conant University Professor at Harvard University, and Rana El Kaliouby, founder of Affectiva.
